Constructed from the best brasilian hardwoods in the south of Bahia Salvador Brasil Rainbow Runner is ready for use as a family vessel or a commercial enterprise.
With a capacity of 50 she is presently working open ocean as a tourist/research vessel with the Official Brasilian Humpback Whale Preservation Organization in Praia do Forte, Salvador Bahia.
Rainbow Runners hull is built to last with bottom planks of 2-2 ?? in thickness and ribs in the medium of 5? x 5?.
Strengthening and safety systems are also built to allow for extreme ocean conditions. 3 rule bilge pumps are in place in separate compartments with a total outlet capacity of 5000 galons per hour.
All exposed woodwork is treated against rot and parasites.
All fittings and fastenings are hand fabricated from 316 grade stainless steel.
Inside the cabin comprises 2 double bedrooms up front one with a connecting shower-toilet.
There is also a separate toilet for onboard guests and a combined living and kitchen area.

200 HP ? MWM Marine diesel turbocharged and intercooled mated with a Z.F. reverse gearbox as of 1? july 2005 have ?0? hours and a 12 month factory waranty.
This engine gearbox combination is extremely robust, reliable and economical (consumes approx. 15 liters per hour under normal use).
Velocity 10 knots at 2300 RPM a heavy duty double universal joint connects the gearbox to a 2 ? inch, stainless steel shaft and a 3 blade 30? diameter bronze propellor.
