This 2001 Chaparral 23' 230 SSI Bow Rider is a perfect day boat with great handling.
Light and nimble yet solid and true, this award winning Chaparral model (Powerboat Magazine 2000 Production Runabout of the Year) handles difficult ocean conditions with ease.
In January 2012, we had the Mercruiser 260 HP 5.7L EFI Bravo lll engine completely rebuilt with a Jasper Remanufactured marine engine.
This new engine has an 18 month warranty and we probably only put 25 - 30 hours on the new engine during the 2012 season.
This boat has red & gray trim and a double prop with hydraulic trim.
Enter this boat through the AFT walk through via the integrated swim platform (or the S/S Boarding ladder) which includes an integrated cooler storage and transom shower.
The fully open L-shaped COCKPIT lounge has a plush sitting area with table on your left and integrated cooler with sink and on board water supply on your right.
Accented with lighting, the cockpit includes a windshield with walk through to bow with wrap-around seating area and an enclosed port side head locker with pump-out porta-potti.
With a full fiberglass lining and snap in carpet, the cockpit has multiple storage areas for equipment and supplies and plenty of cup holders.
Covered by a Bimini top with Windscreen and boot, the boat also has a bow cover or a separate mooring canvas boot for protection.
The HELM has twin swiveling bucket seats for the driver and co-pilot, wood-grain dash and steering wheel, control switches, throttle & gear shift controls, an Emergency start switch and windshield wipers.
It has a compass, VHF radio and antenna, depth sounder and trim indicator, connections for a portable GPS and remote control for the JVC 7404 FM/AM/CD (located in the enclosed head area) with stereo speakers located throughout the boat.
This boat comes with all the USCG Safety and docking lines, bumpers and extras allowing you to just jump in and go.
MAINTENANCE ? This boat is in great shape and has had regular maintenance and repairs performed as needed.
The boat is professionally serviced and stored each year, with oil changes, filters, zincs, and general repairs done every year.
