1968 Johnson Seasport II 16’ 155 HP OMC I/O Stern Drive Trailer – 1968 Johnson Single Axle Max.

Gross Weight 2500lbs with added Powerwinch Model 812-C Original Manuals- 1968 OMC Stern Drive Parts Installation and Operating Instructions for Remote Control Electromatic Shift Johnson Boat Assembly Instructions – (sent to dealer) Johnson 16’ Boat Trailer Manual OMC Stern Drive Johnson Service Manual (for Engine, Stern Drive and Accessories) 1968 Johnson Owners Manual – Seasport II Original Johnson Canvas Boat Cover- This is actually the second cover.

I purchased it from Nielsen Canvas Co. in Sandusky, Ohio.

They merged with Pfefferkorn Awning Co., the original suppliers to Johnson boats.

Mine was one of the last replacement tarps made.

I remember the call well.

The lady told me they were not going to make them any more or carry the hold down clips.

The tarp is from the original pattern and I purchased the last of the original plastic clips that hold the tarp to the outer rail.

It is complete with the Johnson Seahorse Emblem, in black, on the tarp sides.

Tonneau Cover – The Tonneau cover rolls out to close in the bow when the seating is not in use.

The cover is original and in good shape with all snaps.

The cover rolls up and stores at the front of the boat.

It can be seen in the photos in its stored position.

Roof – The boat has a canvas roof that stores in the boat.

When I first got the boat I put it up to see what it looked like.

I then put it away and it has not been out since.

Both the tonneau cover and roof store in protective boots when not in use.

Instruments- Fuel, Amps, Oil Pressure, MPH, and Tachometer.

Add Ons – AM/FM Radio installed in glove box with antenna in the outer hull.

Speakers mounted on windshield support rail near floor.

Accell plug wires and coil.

Hydro Foil on Stern Drive (would eliminate occasional porpoising) Commentary – This is a well cared for classic.

I purchased the boat from my friend, John Womer, in 1975.

He purchased it new from Peter’s Sporting Goods in Lock Haven, Pa.

I used this boat primarily for water skiing with as many girls as I could find.

This was a great ski boat and would pull two skiers well.

It has plenty of power and is very good on gas consumption.

When idling, the engine can barely be heard.

When I was done skiing I would wipe down the exterior, interior and stern drive before replacing the tarp.

It was then towed home to the garage.

The engine was rebuilt in about 1990.

The parts were all original OMC replacement. (I have the receipts).

The engine starts and still runs very well with no oil consumption.

It has been in the water about once a year in the past eight or ten years.

It has the original Johnson upholstery with the Seahorse Emblem all in very good condition.

It is now time to sell it.

Giving it away for $5,300.00 to a c
