Two crewmembers can lower (pivot) the mast while afloat utilizing windlass and whisker pole to reduce windage or for transport without disconnecting mast wiring.

Tabernacle is located directly over bulkhead for full support.

Pivot is visible above halyard winch.

Mast is 8” diameter x 3/16” wall 6061-T6 aluminum mechanical tubing to above spreaders then it tapers to 4” dia. at masthead.

Wiring is installed in PVC conduit secured in mast.

Mast is foamed internally to prevent flooding in the extremely unlikely chance of a knockdown.

Most economical cruise speed is 1500 rpm = 5 - 5.5 knots & uses 1/2 - 5/8 gal/hr, 50 gal diesel tank (45 gal. actual) capacity gives 375 nm theoritical motoring range.

Compartment is soundproofed with foam/lead Mylar covered insulation to deaden diesel running sound.

In and out blowers keep cockpit floor cool.

Engine is installed 3 degrees off centerline to offset “walking” of right-hand prop.

Boat motors straight with little rudder input, thereby reducing drag as opposed to engine aligned with centerline.

Thrust is only 1 degree off horizontal wihch gives in-line thrust without trying to lift stern.

This all contributes to good fuel economy while motoring.

You won’t find these features in produciton boats.

Cockpit seats are ample length for an adult to stretch out.

Lifelines continue through awning frame to give security while in cockpit.

Huge lazarettes.

Awning is very effective, can be left up in high winds, and is easily installed.

Engine cover/companionway ladder left foreground, engine also accessible through cockpit floor giving all sides access.

Engine can be pulled through cockpit opening.

Thru-bulkhead compass (reads from either inside or out) is Plastimo Contest.

Access to main ship’s radio rear panel from head.

Engine driven bilge pump access in head. four 3/4” plywood floorboards months of provisions can be carried when traveling to remote areas or outside the USA where supplies can be rare or expensive.

This photo shows under-floorboard storage only, additional provision storage is built in throughout boat.

Putting provisions low in hull increases stability as opposed to side storage that can decrease stability on certain tacks.

Under floorboards (3/4” Ply) is large area for provision storage.

Boat has no bilge area so no water is allowed to accumulate in hull to rust/ruin provisions or to be a source of humidity/mildew.

Fresh & salt water foot pumps in right middleground.

Centerboard trunk extending f’rd, 10” deep SS sink at upper right.

Floorboard propped up to reveal under floor (dry) storage. table just inside companionway.

Lift nav table top to expose holding plate frig powered by 12v DC from 2 house batteries in parallel that are charged by two 120 w solar panels with regulator.

Engine battery charged by engine alternator.

One spare battery kept ready by a 22 w. solar panel.

Three round battery switches allow selection of various batteries to house load or for emergency engine starting.

In nav area: bulkhead compass (read it from cockpit or nav table), Garmin GPS, and depth sounder (transducer mounted at maximum draft and "looks" through 3/16" glass hull covering, eliminating another thru hull fitting) Storage space over back of table for nav books & charts.

Back side of paneltronics breaker panel is easily accessible from port lazarette.

Dish storage behind sliding white Lexan panels in front of cook.
