| | | | Boat is located in San Carlos,Sonora,Mexico.Please contact the owner @ 360-643-one five nine three or wholebird(at)gmail(dot)com...Here is your chance to go cruising in style in Mexico: This 1990 Condor 30 is the "little brother" to the famous Condor 40; both made by Condor Marine LTD in of Annapolis, Maryland. "Quetzal" is trailerable, demountable, very strong, fast and capable of long distance adventures.
Draft is 18" with boards up, 5' with daggerboard all the way down. 8' dia heavy aluminum tubes are the crossbeams: very stiff and robust.
Quetzal comes with a big fully battened Beirig "Batwing" main, Blade Jib, Roller furling Beirig Genoa, Screacher, Drifter and lovely UK Spinnaker (in an ATN sock), plus the original North Main.
The flying sails fly from a 13' carbon fiber deck mounted (retractable) bowsprit.
All sails are in good to excellent condition.
The screacher is roller-furled too.
Construction is all vinylester resin foam core hand laid construction with gelcoat.
Low maintenance. 6'2" headroom.
LOA: 31'5".
LOD: 30" LWL: 27'5" Beam: 24" Mast height above water: 44' (Aluminum), 100% sail area 530 sq.ft., Bruce # 1.59, Aka/Ama disp: 180% (you don't bury these amas; it just goes faster).
In-boom reefing system (very easy to use from cockpit).
There is a galley (incl sink and stovetop), large navigation station, two twin beds, Lavac vacuum head with 4 gallon holding tank (all new plumbing), built-in 25 gallon water tank, 3 marine batteries kept charged by 3 solar panels, solar charge controllers, Digital electrical system meter, etc.
Supports Engel 45-quart fridge/freezer (we had ice and frozen food for 2 months in HOT weather).
All cushions, including cockpit, are new.
The 9.8 Tohatsu 4-stroke electric start extra long shaft outboard was new in 2013 (runs very well, 6 amp output at low rpm).
New bottom paint 2014.
New ama deck paint (Kiwigrip) 2014.
Comes with extra Kiwigrip for cockpit and main deck.
ALL NEW RIGGING 2014: Colligo Dynex Dux shrouds and 9/32" S.S. headstay with Profurl B35S roller furling.
All (chainplate) fittings checked and re-bedded.

Mostly new running rigging (halyards, sheets, etc).
The trailer was completely rebuilt in 2013 (new axles, brakes, tires, bunks).
3 anchors (Bruce, Fortress and Rocna look-alike) and all necessary chain/line rode.
New side mounted anchor roller leads back to main winches.
All winches rebuilt 2014 (Lewmar 45 2-speed self-tailing: 6 of them!).
Easy for two, or single-handing.
Auto-pilot (Autohelm 1000).
Tiller steered (via bellcrank and cable system; like a Newick); not wheel steered (better feel for steering).
Big Lewmar hatches: in cockpit sole (aft) and ama decks: lots of easy storage space.
Inflatable kayak (we used hard shell ones: holds up to 4 easily) and paddles, lifejackets and lots of extra line, blocks, hardware, cleats and spares included.
Pretty ama graphics, lots of wood inside.
Dodger is fully functional but old.
Garmin GPS w/Sea of Cortez chip.
Sony CD/stereo in case.
This is not a homebuilt.
It is a limited edition fast cruiser designed by Mick Price.
It costs $100/month for dry storage in San Carlos, and $15 to launch or retrieve (much cheaper than monohull).
From San Carlos the entire Sea of Cortez is accessible, and it is still a magical, amazing place!
Go see the whales and whale sharks, the rays, the fin and shell-fish.
It's paradise and so close.
The highway south from Nogales is super-smooth these days, and very safe.
No issues at all with the Hurricane: the Marina Seca is very secure.
