Designed originally for the North Sea gales, Tantalus was ketch rigged. She was re-rigged as a tall sloop in 1981 which greatly improved her sailing in the lighter air conditions of the Chesapeake Bay. As such, Tantalus finished first in her class in the 2005, 2006, and 2007 Turkey Shoot events. Current owner is second owner. Age, arthritis, and lack of use prompts sale of this amazing, extraordinarily safe, cruising sailboat. Current condition In water but requires hauling, scraping, and bottom paint. Hull paint is oxidizing. Shes love a complete retrofit. Mainsail is serviceable. All other sails excellent. Upholstery variable.
